Our Story

Champion gardening services was founded to enable adults with additional learning needs the chance to develop communication and independent skills through meaningful and purposeful work activities.

Alex Eley, who is a co-founder of the project has always enjoyed being able to work outside and be involved in anything that is manual based work. Therefore, Champion gardening services provides a way for Alex to do so and lead a fulfilled life. 

The team consists of his support worker, Amy Howarth who supports Alex in every job. Amy works with Alex on a 1:1 basis and provides the necessary guidance and support that enables Alex to thrive and flourish in his work.

The idea of the charity is for the money earned to go towards helping other adults with learning difficulties. It will provide a fund that can eventually been drawn upon to support them with buying items for their homes if they move onto independent living.
